We don't collect your data

CraftTools does not collect, store or transmit the text, passwords or any other content you enter into our tools. There are no accounts and no databases.

Everything happens in your browser

All processing is done by JavaScript running on your own device. Nothing you type or generate is sent to our servers. Generated passwords exist only on the page until you close or refresh it.

Saved on your device

To be convenient, CraftTools remembers a few things in your browser's local storage: your theme (light or dark), your favorite and recently used tools, the settings you chose in some tools (such as password length), your cookie choice, and, if you use "Use offline", a copy of the site's pages. This stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can remove the saved settings at any time with "Clear saved data" in the footer, or by clearing your browser's site data.

Advertising

CraftTools is free, and we pay for it with ads from Google AdSense. Google is a third-party vendor. It and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure how ads perform. Ads are only ever shown around a tool, never inside it, and Google never sees what you type into one.

If you are in the European Union, the wider European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, ads and their cookies are loaded only after you accept in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Children

CraftTools is a general audience site and isn't aimed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
