Frequently asked questions
Are my WebP files uploaded?
No. The conversion happens inside your browser, so your pictures are never uploaded.
Why convert WebP to JPG?
Some older programs, email tools and upload forms don't accept WebP. JPG is accepted almost everywhere.
What about transparent WebP images?
JPG can't be transparent, so transparent areas are filled with a color. White is the default, and you can change it.
What happens to an animated WebP?
Only the first frame is converted, because a JPG is a single still picture.
Will the quality drop?
A little, since both formats are lossy. Keep the quality around 85 to 90 percent for a result that is hard to tell apart.
