Frequently asked questions
How are decimals written?
Digit by digit after "point", so 3.14 is "three point one four". With a currency chosen, the decimals become cents or pence instead.
What is British style?
It adds "and" inside a number, so 101 is "one hundred and one" instead of "one hundred one".
How large a number can it handle?
Up to 36 digits, which goes as high as decillions. Longer numbers are rejected.
Can I use it for cheques?
Yes. Choose a currency, and an amount such as 1234.50 becomes "one thousand two hundred thirty-four dollars and fifty cents". Always check the result before writing a cheque.
