Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded?
No. Everything is done in your browser, and nothing is uploaded.
Which files can I open?
Whatever your browser can play, which is usually MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC. Files up to 200 MB are accepted.
Why does it save WAV and not MP3?
WAV is simple, exact and works everywhere, and it needs no extra downloads. Files are larger than MP3, so compress them afterwards if size matters.
How do I make a ringtone?
Find the part you like, set Start and End around it, add a short fade out and save it. Most phones accept WAV or need you to convert it to their own format.
What does the loudness option do?
It raises the volume until the loudest moment is just under the limit, so nothing is distorted. Silent files are left alone.
