What is a HEIC file?
The photo format iPhones use by default. It makes small files, but many Windows programs, websites and email tools can't open it, which is why people convert to JPG.
Will I lose quality?
JPG is a lossy format, but at 90 percent quality you will hardly notice. Choose a higher setting for the best look, or PNG for no loss at all, with a bigger file.
Why is the first photo slower?
The converter is a large program that is only downloaded when you add your first photo. After that, conversions are quick.
Does the JPG keep the location and camera details?
No. They aren't copied into the new file, which is useful when you share photos and don't want to share where they were taken.
