Frequently asked questions

What is keyword density?

The share of your words taken up by one word or phrase. A phrase used 5 times in a 500-word article has a density of 1%.

What density should I aim for?

There is no magic number. Search engines look at meaning, not percentages, so write naturally and use your main phrase where it fits. If one phrase dominates your table, you may be repeating it too much.

Why ignore common words?

Words like "the", "and" and "of" are always the most frequent but tell you nothing about the topic. Ignoring them shows the words that actually describe your content.

Is my text stored?

No. The words are counted in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.
